    DELPHOS — The huge binder Canal Days Coordinator Diane Sterling carried this year has been closed. Downtown is quiet with just the shell of Entertainment Tent remaining. Another Canal Days is over.

    “We had some new things this year that went really well and the Canal Days Core Committee is already talking about next year,” Sterling said.

  • Huldah E. Stemen
    Huldah E. Stemen, 86, passed away Wednesday at her daughter’s residence in West Virginia.

  • On Sept. 7, Delphos Police officers were dispatched to the 700 block of East Seventh Street to investigate a suspicious person complaint. Upon arrival, officers located three males matching the description given. After identifying the three individuals, it was found that, 28-year-old Terry Stebleton, had an active warrant out of Wood County for non-payment of child support. Stebleton was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Jail.

  • Mr. and Mrs. John Greco

    Jodi Lynn Leininger and John Patrick Greco were united in marriage on March 22, 2014, at Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown, Paul Dunleavy officiating.

    The bride is the daughter of Jack and Jane Leininger of Delphos. The groom is the son of John and Sherry Greco of Atwater.
    Grandma of the bride is Mary Thitoff.

  • CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. (AP) — NASA's Maven spacecraft arrived at Mars late Sunday after a 442 million-mile journey that began nearly a year ago.

    The robotic explorer fired its brakes and successfully slipped into orbit around the red planet, officials confirmed.
