DELPHOS — St. John’s High School students scoured local parks for trash and assisted parishioners with yard work and other tasks Friday morning during the school’s third-annual Service Day.

“We at St. John’s like to give back to the community and parishioners who support so much throughout the year,” event coordinator Kim Honigford said. “It also gives the kids an opportunity to do things they might never had done before.”

Students were back at the school by noon to resume classes.
