POINT — The Delphos St. John’s Blue Jays made the short trip to
Lincolnview Monday evening for a matchup with the Lancers in non-league
CITY — The wind and sun played a huge part of Monday’s girls soccer
encounter between invading St. John’s and hosting Miller City.
DELPHOS — “America’s Friendliest City” is again about to become
“America’s Scariest City.” This year’s Delphos Zombie Walk will be held
on Oct. 16 (rain date Oct. 23).

WERT — After a hot and humid summer and first month of the 2016 cross
country season, conditions were perfect at the Van Wert Hospital
Invitational held Saturday at the reservoir.
— The girls soccer tournament draw is about three weeks away, so
coaches are trying to not only get their crews playing at a peak level
but also trying to get through the grind.
— Three turnovers in the first 8-plus minutes of Saturday night’s
Midwest Athletic Conference football game with Anna put host St. John’s
behind 14 points.
— Looking at the final score of Jefferson’s 50-22 Northwest Conference
gridiron victory over Paulding under the Stadium Park lights Friday, one
would have had one perspective of the game.
