Tuesday

Change of plea/bond violation

Kasey Schisler, 29, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to theft from a protected person, a felony 5. He also admitted to violating his bond by taking illegal drugs. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for June 20. His bond was set at $25,000 cash or commercial surety.

Larry Flory III, 33, Van Wert, appeared for a bond violation. Continued for further hearing on May 14. He was ordered held without bond until that hearing.

Wednesday

Arraignments (all entered not guilty pleas)

Jonathan Slates, 32, Van Wert, aggravate possession of drugs, a felony 3; and having weapons under disability, a felony 3. His bond was set at $50,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial set for May 24.

Ryan Schaadt, 33, Van Wert, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 3; and aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony 3. Bond set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial set for May 24.

Idris Nuriddeen, 42, Van Wert, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5; and aggravated trafficking in drugs,a felony 4. Released on surety bond, pretrial set for May 22.

Serena White, 26, Van Wert, theft, a felony 5. Released on a surety bond with pretrial set for May 22.

Milo Holt Jr., 19, Van Wert, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5. Released on surety bond, pretrial set for May 23.

Stephen Barnhart, 23, Van Wert, illegal conveyance of drugs into correctional facility, a felony 3; and aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5. Released on surety bond with pretrial set for May 23.

Jerad Caldwell, 31, Van Wert, illegal conveyance of drugs into correctional facility, a felony 3. Bond set at $20,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial set for May 23.

Shannon Augustus, 28, Ohio City, unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, a felony 3; sexual battery, a felony 3. Released on a surety bond with no contact order with the victim. Pretrial set for May 23.

Philip Raines Sr., 29, Van Wert, domestic violence, a felony 4. Bond continued at $50,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial set for May 23.

Jasmine Diemer, 34, Van Wert, two counts of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5, released on surety bond, pretrial set for May 22.

Joshua McGinnis, 36, Convoy, failure to register as a sex offender, a felony 4. Released on a surety bond with pretrial set for May 22.

Changes of pleas

Dravone Wannemacher, 24, Delphos, changed his plea to guilty to domestic violence, a misdemeanor 1 (reduced from a felony 4). The court set sentencing for May 30.

Sentencings

Daniel Dunn, 27, Ohio City, complicity to aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 4. Sentenced to: 16 months prison with credit for 93 days already served and ordered to pay court costs.

Nathan Braun, 35, Van Wert, importuning, a felony 5. Sentenced to: 12 months prison, credit for 34 days served and ordered to pay court costs. He also must register for 15 years as a Tier 1 sex offender.

Alexander Chorvas, 23, Van Wert, domestic violence a felony 4, Sentenced to: three years community control, 90 days jail beginning at 7 p.m. on May 27, work release, additional 30 days jail at later date, 200 hours community service, no alcohol or drugs without a prescription, mental health and substance abuse assessments and treatment, two years intensive probation and was ordered to pay partial appointed counsel fees, monthly probation fee and court costs.

Joshua Finfrock, 33, Cecil, trespass in a habitation, a felony 4. Sentenced to: five years community control, 30 days jail beginning May 14, additional 30 days jail at a later date, 200 hours community service, substance abuse and mental health assessment and treatment, comply with all medication orders, three years intensive probation and was ordered to pay $1,000 restitution to the victim, monthly probation fee, costs and partial appointed counsel fees.

Kurt Strukamp, 55, Madison, Indiana, two counts, aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 4; and one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5. Sentenced: 16 months prison on each of the trafficking charges and 12 months prison on the possession charge, all concurrent, credit for nine days served. He was also ordered to pay court costs.
