On Monday, 25 members of the Ottoville Catholic Ladies of Columbia Council 30 and the Rev. John Stites, met at the parish center for a half hour social gathering a delicious Christmas dinner.
After dinner, a short business meeting was conducted by President Ruth Miller. Secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were given, and a donations was made recently to Church of the Good Shepherd, Thanksgiving dinner for a local family; Ottoville School for special Christmas needs for local families; the church flower fund; and special items were purchased for the hall kitchen.
Thank yous were read from flower committee of church; Beth Huffman, the October speaker; and Church of the Good Shepherd.
Christmas cards were signed for sending to faithful members not able to attend. Longtime member Irene Miller, who now resides at Vancrrest in Delphos, joined the council for the evening.
The next meeting will be on April 8, when the group will honor golden weddings and 70th birthdays.
The meeting was closed with prayer for our deceased members.
Following the meeting the committee of Joan Ruen, Sharon Meyer and Carol Giesken, conducted games and awarded prizes.
