James William Champ, 67, formerly of Spencerville and Lima, died at 11:36 a.m. Wednesday at the Hardin Hills Health Center in Kenton, where he resided since Oct. 22.
He was born May 14, 1945, in Lima to James Lewis and Elva Iota “Odie” Adams Champ, who preceded him in death.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Thomas E. Bayliff Funeral Home in Spencerville, with his nephew Pastor Thomas Roof officiating. Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery in Auglaize County, with military rites by the Spencerville Veterans.
Friends may call from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
