For the first time, Farm Focus Inc. is offering three $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors interested in an agricultural related program at a university, college, or technical school.

In addition to seniors, students already enrolled in an undergraduate program in agriculture are also eligible to apply for the scholarship.

The applicant must be a Van Wert County resident. Minimum grade point is 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Scholarship applications have been delivered to all nine area high schools where Van Wert students may be enrolled. Additional copies of the application are available at the Van Wert County Extension office at 1055 S. Washington St., Van Wert OH 45891.
