Centuries-old barn comes down PDF Print E-mail

The Luersman barn at 12400 Delphos-Southworth Road came down Thursday. The back portion of the barn was erected in the early 1800s by the Haunhorst family, the original property owners, who were tragically killed in a Christmas Eve buggy accident while traveling home from midnight Mass. The front portion was added in the 1920s. A tractor and a backhoe were used to raze the barn. The first attempt only took down the front face of the barn
