|Congress caught red-handed|

Congress got caught this week trying to “Slick Willy” out of Obamacare. If this program is so great, why isn’t the president all about it? Why isn’t his family enrolling in the program?
Why was it all hush-hush? I read somewhere they wanted to send a message to Obama that the plan wasn’t working out so well. I have an idea; repeal it if it’s so bad.
Here is what Congressman Bob Latta (R-Bowling Green) had to say Thursday about it:
“I did not support President Obama’s health care law because I did not believe it was the right approach to health care reform, but President Obama and his Democratic colleagues insisted upon ramming through a government takeover of our nation’s health care system against the will of the majority of Americans.
“If Members of Congress wish to exempt themselves from Obamacare so badly, then they should work to exempt all Americans through the repeal and replacement of this flawed law.
“I will continue to work towards repealing this faulty law and replacing it with meaningful health care reform that will give Americans real choices for affordable and accessible health care.”
Here’s the real deal. If Congress is against Obamacare, they can get rid of it. If Congress is against the deficit, they alone have the power to eliminate the deficit. If Congress doesn’t like the fact the budget isn’t balanced, only they can balance the budget. They alone have the power. I can’t do it. You can’t do it. Only they can.
I am totally confused as to how anyone, let alone the government, thinks the government, that can’t figure out where all their money goes in the first place, can afford to provide coverage to millions. My guess is it will be just like everything else — the already beleaguered and battle-scarred middle class will take care of it.
