The following individuals appeared Wednesday in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:
Criminal Arraignments 
Gary E. Coats, 29, Coldwater, and formerly of Ohio City, entered not guilty pleas to three counts of sexual battery, felonies of the second degree; and three counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, all felonies of the third degree. 
Count one and two of the indictments pertain to incidents that took place from Dec. 1, 2009 through the Jan. 31 2010. 
The indictments indicate that Coats allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with another who was not his spouse and where the offender was a person in loco parentis of the other person.
The second count of the indictment alleged that Coats, who was 18 years or older, engaged in sexual conduct with a person who was not the spouse of Coats when he knew the other person was 13 years of age or older but was less than 16 years of age or was reckless in that regard.
Counts three, four, five and six were similar to count one and two but allegedly took place on June 4 and June 5. 
The investigation into the incidents was conducted by the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department and Children Services of the Van Wert County Jobs and Family Services Agency. 
Magistrate Joseph E. Quatman set bond at $100,000 cash and scheduled a pretrial conference for 8 a.m. July 21. 
Kelli Jo Knapke, 49, Van Wert, charged with burglary, a felony of the fourth degree, not guilty plea, ordered held on a $5,000 cash bond, case to be assigned by a visiting judge. 
Amy McNabb, 37, Paulding, charged with possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree, not guilty plea, released on $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond. A pretrial has been scheduled for July 28th, 2010 at 8:00 a.m.. 
Klarisa A. Mendoza, 23, Van Wert, charged with violation of protection order, a felony of the fifth degree, not guilty plea, ordered held on $10,000 cash bond with ten percent privilege.
A pretrial conference has been scheduled for 8 a.m. July 28. 
Moses Wilder, 27, Van Wert, charged with domestic violence, a felony of the third degree, not guilty plea, ordered released on $5,000 personal surety bond with an order to have no contact with the victim.  A pretrial conference has been scheduled for 8 a.m. July 28. 
Robert E. Thompson, 26, Van Wert, charged with burglary, a felony of the fourth degree, not guilty plea, released on $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond. 
A pretrial conference has been scheduled for 8 a.m. July 21.
Dustyn Taylor, 19, Convoy, charged with two counts of possession of drugs, a felony of the fifth degree; and six counts of forgery, all felonies of the fifth degree, not guilty plea. 
Taylor was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond.  
A pretrial conference has been scheduled for 8 a.m. July 21. 
Phillip Hartman, 22, Van Wert, charged with assault a felony of the fourth degree, not guilty plea and was ordered held on a $50,000 cash bond. 
A pretrial conference has been scheduled for 8 a.m. July 21. 
William Osborne, 35, Middle Point, charged with domestic violence, a felony of the fourth degree. 
Osborne was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond and ordered to have no contact with the victim. 
A pretrial hearing has been scheduled for 8 a.m. July 28. 
Amanda Collins, 27, Van Wert, charged with theft, a felony of the fifth degree, not guilty plea. 
Collins was released on a $5,000 unsecured personal surety bond with a pretrial conference scheduled for 8 a.m. July 28.
Shane Williams, 23, Van Wert, charged with domestic violence, entered a not guilty plea. 
Williams was released but placed on Electronic Monitored House Arrest. 
A pretrial conference has been scheduled for 8 a.m. July 28.
