Driver pulls from parking space into vehicle
At 10:12 a.m. on July 16, a collision occurred when the driver of a vehicle pulled out on to a street from a parking spot, striking an oncoming vehicle.
Rachel Froman, 22, of Delphos was heading westbound on East Second Street when she turned left onto North Main Street as Macilou Beining, 71, of Fort Jennings pulled out from in front of the Delphos Post Office at the corner of Second and Main, striking Froman’s right front.
There were no injuries and minor damage to both vehicles.
Beining was cited for failure to yield while entering a roadway.
Sunroof broken by piece of wood
Delphos Police were contacted at 9:36 a.m. Monday by a resident in the 600 block of Carolyn Drive.
The victim reported that sometime in the overnight hours, someone had thrown a piece of wood through the sunroof of the victim’s vehicle causing it to break.
Parkgoer scares would-be thief from car
Delphos Police were called to Waterworks Park at 9:03 p.m. Thursday in reference to a theft complaint.
Upon officers’ arrival, the victim stated that he and his family were in the park when he observed a subject inside his parked vehicle who fled when the victim approached the subject.
Family members let in alleged thief
Delphos Police were called to the 100 block of North Main Street at 7:17 p.m. Friday in reference to a theft complaint.
Upon officers’ arrival, the victim stated a friend had came to the residence when the victim was gone and was let in by family members. When the victim returned, they found personal items were missing from inside the residence and the victim believed the friend who had visited had taken the items.
Woman turns self in on warrant
Laura Savage, 46 of Delphos, turned herself over to the Delphos Police Department at 4:44 p.m. Monday on an active arrest warrant issued for her out of Van Wert Ohio.
Savage was later turned over to the Van Wert Police Department.
Victim reports theft of personal items
Delphos Police were called to the 500 block of North Bredeick Street at 3:08 p.m. Sunday in reference to a theft complaint.
Upon officers’ arrival, the victim stated that sometime the night before while in the 200 block of North Main Street, someone had taken personal items from them.
