VAN WERT — The Wassenberg Art Center has opened its exhibit “Expression in 3 Forms” and it will be on view through Aug. 24.

Glass artist Matthew Paskiet, owner of Firenation Glass in Holland, will show art glass in the form of vases, paperweights and sculptures. Paskiet is a former student and employee of Dale Chihuly and exhibits regularly in the area at the Toledo Museum of Art in addition to the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. Doug Fiely, Professor of Art at Defiance College, will be exhibiting large-scale paintings, intaglio and linoleum prints. The exhibit will also feature large-scale charcoal drawings featuring images that reflect the stresses of corporate life by Chelsae Younkman. Younkman is a recent MFA graduate from Bowling Green State University and has had the honor of being selected to participate in the prestigious ArtPrize Competition in Grand Rapids, Mich. Most works are for sale.

A public opening reception will be held at the Wassenberg Art Center’s current facility located at 643 S. Washington St., Van Wert.
