She was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Ottoville to Gebhard and Mayme (Bohn) Gasser Sr., who preceded her in death.
On Oct. 11, 1962, she married Herman H. Beckman, who died on April 30, 2012.
Survivors include four daughters, Marge (Ken) Wolski of Cincinnati, Jeanette (Al) Baaske of Convoy, Donna (Brian) Blake of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Helen (Paul) Dixon of Van Wert; a sister, Rosemary Kramer of Delphos; a brother, Gebhard (Ruth) Gasser Jr. of Ottoville; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Wilma Gasser; and a brother, Rudy Gasser.
Mrs. Beckman worked at Drapery Stitch for more than 25 years. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, its CD of A and was a farmer’s wife who enjoyed sewing and gardening.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Dave Reinhart officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. today at Harter and Schier Funeral Home, where a Parish Wake will begin at 7:30 p.m. today.
