DELPHOS — The 26th annual K of C/St. John’s Golf Benefit was held at the Delphos Country Club on June 6. The 18-hole course was fully loaded with 168 players and a large group of volunteers working the event. In addition to the golfers and volunteers, over 50 families and companies from the area contributed by becoming one of the various “sponsors” of the event.

The profit of the event totaled $14,000, the largest amount generated in the history of the benefit. The funds will be used by St. John’s Schools for technology advancements.

Also at the event, 25 individuals participated in a special raffle that resulted in the presentation of a “Blue Jay Mobile” to St. John’s Parish. The specially-painted golf cart is decorated with Blue Jay decals and is painted blue and gold.

In addition to donating the golf cart to St. John’s, the raffle also produced $400 that was donated to the K of C Roof Replacement Fund. The Delphos K of C is currently collecting funds that will be used to replace the roof on the K of C Hall.

Next year’s event is planned for June 5 at the Delphos Country Club. Please direct any questions or comments any of the committee members or to the Knights of Columbus.
