|VW Outdoorsmen hold Youth Day fundraiser|

MIDDLE POINT — The Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Association is holding a raffle to raise funds for its Youth Day Program. The winner of the raffle will receive $500 in meat from Hall’s Custom Cut Meats and a freezer to store it in.
Three other cash prizes will also be awarded.
Tickets are just $10 for two chances to win and can be purchased at Hall’s Custom Cut Meats, 732 W. Main St. in Van Wert, BHS Gun Shop in Ohio City and from club members.
This year’s Youth Day is scheduled for Sept. 13. It is free for area youth ages 17 and under and features hands-on instruction for archery, air rifles, 22 rifles and trap shooting.
Lunch will be provided to all participants and accompanying adults. Last year’s event had approximately 125 participants.
Funding for Youth Day comes from corporate sponsorships, member contributions, fund raisers and a grant from the Friends of the NRA.
The Van Wert County Outdoorsmen Association is a non-profit organization and is an NRA affiliate club. Its mission is to increase the knowledge and safe practice of hunting skills, marksmanship and other outdoor recreation skills.
