At 4:55 p.m. on May 6, a collision occurred between a lawn tractor and pick-up truck, after which both drivers refused to agree on what occurred.
Joseph Estle, 25, of Delphos, was stopped on North Washington Street talking to the driver of a second stopped vehicle. William Beat, 31, also of Delphos, was driving a lawn tractor northbound and turned to enter his property. Estle claimed when he was done talking he began to hear sound and that Beat intentionally turned in front of him. Beat claimed Estle floored his truck to intentionally collide the two vehicles.
The crash caused minor damage to Estle’s vehicle and moderate damage to Beat’s.
The officer on scene noted that both parties were involved in an earlier altercation and were believed to still be angry with each other.
