VAN WERT — The county’s Prosecuting Attorney Charles F. Kennedy III has served in his position since 1989 and, apparently, intends to continue despite submitting a letter of his intent to retire with the Ohio Public Employee Retirement System (OPERS) at the end of June.
In the letter submitted to the Board of Van Wert County Commissioners dated May 30, 2012, Kennedy gave notice of his intent to retire but also stated his intent to serve the four-year term he will presumably win in November.
