Feb. 24, 1929 June 28, 2012 Richard Louis Ricker, 83, of Clyde died at his home on June 28, 2012. He was born on Feb. 24, 1929, in Ottoville to the now deceased Louis B. and Anna (Kemper) Ricker. On Nov. 29, 2000, he married Jeanette (Wott) Liebold, who survives. Survivors also include four children, Carolyn (Larry) Miller and Susan (Tom) McClanahan of Columbus, Steve (Amy) Ricker of Toledo and Kenneth (Patricia) Ricker of Perrysburg; stepchildren, Dwayne (Renae’) Corbin of Fairborn, Deb (Ken) Hossler of Bellevue, Robert (Tricia) Liebold of Clyde, Eric (Michelle) Liebold of Green Springs and Trent Liebold of Clyde; the mother of his children, the former Patricia Rogers, whom he married on July 16, 1949; a sister, Mary Grothouse of Delphos; a brother, Harold Ricker of Tallahassee; grandchildren, James, Kevin, Richard, Jennifer, Stephanie, Jaimie, Samantha, Joshua, Katie, Christopher, Cayla, Carah, Chloe, Dalton, Jasmine, Tabitha, and Harmon; and great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Dylan, Brandon, Corey, Derek, Regan, Adayla, and Hunter. He was preceded in death by his second wife, Marjorie Corbin Ricker, whom he married on Oct. 23, 1987, and she preceded him on July 20, 1997; his siblings, Emma Fostor, Isadore Ricker, Alfred Ricker, Gilbert Ricker, Rita Steinbrenner, Marcus Ricker and Rose Mary Ricker. Mr. Ricker graduated from Ottoville High School in 1947 and served in the Army following WWII. He retired from Whirlpool Corp in 1984 after 34 years of service. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Clyde; Clyde Eagles; a Charter Member of the former Clyde JC’s where he served as treasurer and secretary; formerly served on the Board of Directors at Clyde-Findlay Credit Union and Whirlpool Management Club.
