Clark/HyittDavid and Cheryl Clark of Delphos announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Marie, to James Martin Hyitt, son of James and Sharon Hyitt of Convoy.

The couple will exchange vows on Jan. 25.

The bride-elect is a graduate of St. John’s High School and is employed at St. Rita’s Professional Services.

Her fiance is a graduate of Crestview High School and Rhodes State College. He is employed with the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department.

Larry and the former Susan Smith were married Dec. 22, 1978, at Delphos Wesleyan Church in a candle-lit ceremony by Pastor Ross Rinehart.

They are the parents of four children: Josie Basinger of Delphos, Joel Basinger of Shade and Jessica and Jordan Basinger of Delphos. They also have four grandchildren: Brooke Basinger of Defiance and Isabela, Emery and Everett Basinger of Delphos.

The bride is the daughter of Sheila Slatzer-Rose of LaFayette and the late Larry Rose. The groom is the son of Michael and Karen Edelbrock of Delphos.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Nomina todayMr. and Mrs. Bill Nomina of Delphos will observe 50 years of marriage on Dec. 14.

Bill and the former Karen White were married on that date in 1963 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Revs. Thomas Gorman and Fred Zangmeister officiating.

They are the parents of Kelly (Brendan) Barr of Columbus and Michael Nomina and Derek John Nomina of Delphos. They also have two grandchildren, Maisie Barr and Declan Barr.

Bill is retired from Ford Motor Co. after 47 years. His wife is also retired.

Mr. and Mrs. Adam LeeJessica Massa and Adam Lee were united in marriage on June 14, 2013, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Thomas Gallagher of St. Michael’s in Wheeling, W.Va., officiating.

The bride is the daughter of William and Mary Massa of Delphos. The groom is the son of Larry and Debra Lee of Delphos.

Nuptial music was provided by St. John’s Men’s Choir and organist Marybeth Will.

Maid of honor was Megan Mesker of Delphos, friend of the couple.

Bridesmaids included Nikki Rode of Westerville, Jennifer Leininger of Delphos, Lindsay Davis of Youngstown, Mackenzie Stephenson of Marysville, Lindsay Fashinpaur of Garfield Heights and Holly Diegel of Avon Lake, friends of the couple.

Lauren Turner of Hamilton, cousin of the bride, was flower girl. Ringer bearer was James Dickson of Ann Arbor, Mich., cousin of the bride.

Andy Lee, brother of the groom, was best man.

Groomsmen included David Martz, Adam Wiltsie, Mitch Clark, Nic Wisher and Jared Wiltsie of Delphos, friends of the couple; and Anthony Massa of Wheeling, brother of the bride.

Grandparents of the couple are Robert Schmit and the late Barbara Schmit, the late Clarence and Sheila Massa, Jeanette Whitaker and the late Earl Lee and the late Carl and Margaret Picker.

The reception was held at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center in Lima following the ceremony.

After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple resides in Delphos.

The bride is a graduate of St. John’s High School, Miami University and Case Western Reserve University. She is a speech language pathologist.

The groom is a graduate of St. John’s High School, Bowling Green State University and the University of Dayton. He is the high school principal at St. John’s.
