Mr. and Mrs. Cody NicholsMr. and Mrs. Cody Nichols of Delphos will celebrate 60 years of marriage on Sept. 26.

A family celebration is planned at the Nichols’ woods.

Cody and the former Mary Maas were married on Sept. 26, 1953.

They are the parents of Cody (Judy) Nichols Jr., of Elida, Roxanne (Dave) Rabe of Delphos and Kimberly (John) Blankerts of Sylvania. They also have five grandchildren, one deceased; a stepgrandson; five great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.

Cody is retired from Ford Motor Company in Lima. Mary is a homemaker.

Linda Milligan of Wapakoneta announces the engagement of her daughter, Molly Jo, to Daniel William Hemker, son of Steve and Lois Hemker of Delphos.

The couple will exchange vows on Nov. 20 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Landeck.

The bride-elect earned her master's degree in criminal justice from the University of Toledo in 2010. She received her bachelor's degree from UT in 2008. She works in the Putnam and Paulding County Common Pleas courts.

Her fiance is a 2003 graduate of Jefferson High School. He is employed at Hemker Grain Inc.

Richard “Dick” and Dolores “Dotty” Honigford of Delphos will observe 60 years of marriage on Sept. 26.

To celebrate, an open house for family and friends will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sept. 29 in the recreation hall at Huggy Bear Campground, 9065 Ringwald Road, Middle Point. Gifts are to be omitted.

Dick and Dolly Grothouse were married on Sept. 26, 1953, in St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, the Rev. Herr officiating.

They are the parents of Ken (Jami) Honigford of Monroeville, Barb (Louie) Ebbeskotte of Venedocia, Carol Ricker of Delphos and daughter-in-law, Sue Honigford of Delphos. One son, Stephen, is deceased.

They also have 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Her fiance is a Jefferson High School and James A. Rhodes State College graduate. He is employed at Lima Memorial Health System and Kindred Hospital.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Prine Sr.Robert and Betty Prine Sr. observed 68 years of marriage on Aug. 29.

They celebrated with a large family gathering for a cookout at daughter Irene’s home in Delphos.

Robert and the former Betty Truax were married on Aug. 29, 1945, at the bride’s parent’s home on Shaffer Street in Van Wert, the Rev. E.E. Stopher, the groom’s grandfather, officiating.

They are the parents of five children, Irene (Donald) Lehman of Delphos, Sheila (Doug) Metzger of Minster, Glen (Janet) Prine of Delphos, Gary (Laura) Prine of Kendallville, Ind., and Robert Prine Jr. is deceased. They also have 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Robert is a World War II Army veteran and retired from Fruehauf. Betty is a homemaker.
