At 2:49 a.m. Sunday, a Delphos Police Officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. Officers made contact with the driver, 18-year-old Cody Stahl of Lima. During the investigation of the equipment violation, officers observed Stahl to be in possession of alcohol. It was also found that he had consumed alcohol. As a result, Stahl was charged with operating a vehicle after underage consumption, open container of alcohol, underage possession of alcohol and the equipment violation. He will appear in Van Wert Municipal to face the charge.

At 1:48 a.m. March 9, officers on patrol observed the driver of a vehicle commit a traffic offense. Due to this, a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle. Officers made contact with the driver, 19-year-old Peter Vanloo of Delphos. After checking his driving status, it was found that he was operating a motor vehicle on a suspended driver’s license. Vanloo was issued a citation for FRA non-compliance suspension as well as the traffic offense.

At 2:19 a.m. March 1, Delphos police officers on patrol were investigating suspicious persons in the area of the 600 block of East Fifth Street. Officers identified the male subjects one of which was 20-year-old Mitch Herber of Delphos. During the investigation, officers found Herber to be under the influence of an alcoholic beverage. Due to this, he was arrested and issued a citation for underage consumption. Herber will appear in Lima Municipal Court to face the charge.

VAN WERT — Four people received minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident on US Route 224 near the intersection of Van Wert Decatur Road in Van Wert County at 2:31 p.m. Friday.

David Rump, 50, of Lewistown was westbound on US Route 224. When he attempted to turn left onto Van Wert Decatur Road, he failed to yield to Corrie Sacket, who was eastbound on US Route 224.

VAN WERT — A Sidney man was arrested by Van Wert Police after he was found in possession of a bulk amount of the drug known as “bath salts.”

Brandon S. Turner, 28, was arrested by officers of the Van Wert City Police Department Tuesday night after he was found to be in possession of a bulk amount of bath salts.
