Motorcyclist sent to St. Rita’s Hospital PDF Print

Delphos police were called to a car/motorcycle incident at approximately 5:59 p.m. Saturday.

Reports indicate Tiffany M. Geise, 20, of Delphos was northbound on North Jefferson Street approaching the stop sign at the intersection of West Fourth Street when she rolled through the intersection failing to stop at the stop sign. Debbra L. Merritt, 49, of Van Wert was operating a motorcycle and traveling westbound on Fourth Street and did not have a stop sign. To avoid a collision with the Geise vehicle, Merrit layed the motorcycle down.

No contact was made between the two vehicles. Merritt’s motorcycle sustained minor damage to the right side.

Merritt was transported to St. Rita’s Medical Center by Delphos EMS with non-incapacitating injuries.

Geise was cited with failure to stop.

Delphos Police were dispatched to an accident at 7:11 p.m. on Sunday at the 300 block of South Pierce Street.

A pick-up owned by John A. Nomina was parked southbound on the west side of Pierce Street when it was struck head-on by David G. Betz, 36, of Delphos. Betz was traveling northbound on Pierce Street and went left of center striking the Nomina pick-up.

Nomina’s vehicle sustained functional damage to the center front part of the truck. The vehicle driven by Betz sustained disabling damage to the center front area of the car. No injuries were reported.

Betz was given a breathalyzer test and cited with operating a vehicle intoxicated (OVI) and no operator’s license.

Man arrested on failure to appear warrant PDF Print

At 3:14 p.m. on Monday, while on routine patrol, Delphos Police observed Andrew Stocklin, 28, of Delphos riding in a motor vehicle in the 100 block of West Third Street.
Officers had knowledge that Stocklin had an active arrest warrant issued for him out of Putnam County for failing to appear in court. Officers stopped the vehicle and took Stocklin into custody.
Stocklin was later turned over to deputies from the Putnam County Sheriff’s Department.

 
Police arrest Delphos man on warrant PDF Print

At 2:10 a.m. today, Delphos Police went to a residence in the 300 block of South Clay Street to serve an active arrest warrant on a subject in that area.
Upon officers’ arrival, they along with deputies from the Van Wert County Sheriff’s Department, came into contact with Nathan Brock, 28, of Delphos. Brock was taken into custody on a warrant issued out of Allen County Common Pleas Court.
Brock was later turned over to Deputies from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
