DELPHOS — The marching Blue Jays and Wildcats kick off a joint fundraising campaign for concession stand equipment.

Community members and businesses are asked to consider a donation to help cover unforeseen expenses. Concessions at varsity football, soccer, junior high football and youth football games in Delphos are provided by both schools’ band boosters.

The beverage supplier needed to remove their coolers since the contract expired and was not renewed. Losing the coolers came at a bad time because the shared hot chocolate maker was also deemed unfixable last year. Both band boosters want to focus on raising money for the band, so they can help with expenses like uniforms, dry cleaning, equipment purchases and repairs, special performance opportunities and purchasing music.

Hickey Morris made a very generous donation of $1,000 to help kick off the fundraiser. Boosters from both programs gratefully received $500 each.

Donations are due by July 15 and any donation over $100 to either or both band programs will be added to a “Thank You” sign for the entire fall season. Please mail check(s) to Delphos Jefferson Band Boosters at 901 Wildcat Lane, and/or DSJ Band Boosters, c/o Treasurer, 5600 Lehman Road. Please include “concession equipment” on the memo line.
