LIMA — The following is a weekly report concerning construction and maintenance work on State highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1. All outlined work is weather permitting.

Allen County

Interstate 75 between Napoleon Road and State Route 235, just south of the village of Beaverdam to three miles north of the village of Bluffton, in Allen and Hancock counties, will experience lane restrictions and ramp closures for paving and reconstruction through November 2020.

Continuing impacts

Nighttime lane restrictions, 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.

State Route 65/Elm Street and Pine Street at their intersection in the city of Lima closed June 1 for replacement of the bridges over the Ottawa River. Completion is expected in late fall.

Continuing impact

— The bridges at Elm Street and Pine Street are closed at the intersection of Elm Street and Pine Street.

• Eastbound detour: Central Avenue to Market Street to Bellefontaine Avenue (SR 309/SR 117).

• Westbound detour: Bellefontaine Avenue (SR 309/ SR 117) to Market Street to S. Union Street.

Ending impact

— Market Street railroad crossing was closed and was expected to open Friday.

— Full closure of the intersection and bike tunnel was expected for approximately three weeks. (Reopening was anticipated to occur on Friday.)

— Traffic will be directed to the North Street underpass.

State Route 115 between SR 65 and N. Cole Street will close Oct. 12 for five days for a culvert replacement.

— Detour: SR 65 to U.S. 30 back to SR 115.

Putnam County

State Route 108 between SR 613 and Township Road G, approximately one mile south of the village of Miller City, closed Aug. 3 for approximately 75 days for bridge deck and slope repair over the Miller City cutoff.

Continuing impact

— Detour: SR 613 to SR 109 to SR 18 back to SR 108

U.S. 224 resurfacing project between the village of Ottawa and State Route 235 will have lane restrictions from the Putnam County line to State Route 235 for finish work.

State Route 65 in the village of Leipsic, between T-6 and C-5, will close Oct. 29 for one week for railroad repair.

— Detour: SR 613 to SR 109 to SR 18 back to SR 65

State Route 190 between Road T-Q and Road C-R, north of the village of Fort Jennings, will close on Monday for five days for a culvert replacement.

New impact

— Detour: SR 634 to U.S. 224 back to SR 190

Van Wert County

U.S. 30 at U.S. 224, both eastbound and westbound, Van Wert, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone beginning Monday for a project that will reconstruct and lower the pavement beneath the U.S. 224 overhead to increase vertical clearance. The project also includes drainage work, and replacement of barrier wall and guardrail. The project is expected to be completed late October.

Continuing impact

— U.S. 30 traffic will be maintained in one lane in each direction.

— Liberty Union Road from U.S. 30 to Terry Road closed Aug. 10 for approximately three months.

Ending impact

— U.S. 30 westbound entrance ramp from U.S. 224 closed on Sept. 16 for approximately 30 days.

• Detour: U.S. 30 eastbound to U.S. 127 back to U.S. 30 westbound.

Multi-Route paving project began Aug. 10. The project includes resurfacing of the existing pavement, pavement repairs, work on curb ramps, and widening of bridge approaches on U.S. 224. Lane restrictions will be in place with traffic being maintained by flaggers. Work is expected to be finished by early October. U.S. 224 from the Indiana state line to the city of Van Wert.

• U.S. 127 from the CSX Railroad line north of Main St. to the intersection of U.S. 127, U.S. 224, and Marsh Road.

• SR 118 in Van Wert the bridge over Town Creek to U.S. 127/Washington Street.
