DELPHOS — Delphos City Schools held its annual Organizational Meeting Monday evening with all but one member present. Andy North attended the meeting by Zoom.

The meeting is held to elect a president and vice president of the board as well as to set the time, date and place of the new year’s meetings and choose committee heads, among other things.

Jamey Wisher will be the board president for 2021 with Jason Grogg serving as vice president.

Committee heads include: North — Audits, Finance and Insurance; Wisher — Buildings, Grounds and Equipment; Grogg — Communication and Community Engagement; Tony Wiechart — Curriculum and Student Programs; and Erica Pimpas — Personnel, Policy and Transportation.

Wiechart was also tapped to represent Delphos City Schools on the Vantage Career Center Board of Trustees.

The board will meet at 6 p.m. on the fourth Monday of the month in the Administrative Office at Jefferson High School. Meeting dates are: Jan. 25, Feb. 22, March 22, April 26, May 24, June 28, July 26, Aug. 23, Sept. 27, Oct. 25, Nov. 22 and Dec. 27.

Superintendent Doug Westrick was again approved as the district’s purchasing agent with a spending limit of $25,999.99 without board approval.

The board also gave Treasurer Brad Rostorfer approval to request advances from county auditors, pay invoices, invest excess funds and re-appropriate funds. Rostorfer was also designated records officer with Westrick his stand-in in case of Rostorfer’s absence.

The resignation of Ben Rahrig as junior high track coach was accepted.

The board then went into executive session and then adjourned with no further business conducted.
