DELPHOS — On Sept. 18, a man and his wife came to the police department to file a fraud report. The couple told officers that they were scammed over the internet. They advised officers that they were contacted to have their computer serviced to have viruses removed. The couple lost a large amount of money after their bank account was accessed by the scammers.

On Sept. 18, officers met with a female who reported being assaulted. The female told officers that her male friend physically assaulted her, leaving marks on her face. The report was forwarded to the Van Wert Municipal Court Prosecutor for review of charges.

On Sept. 18, officers took a report from a female concerning child abuse. The female told officers that her son had stayed with his father in Delphos and, upon returning home, had visible bruising on his thigh. The incident remains under investigation.

On Sept. 20, officers were sent to the 300 block of Eastwood Street after being notified of a male that had attempted to harm himself. Delphos EMS transported the male to the hospital for treatment and evaluation.

On Sept. 20, officers spoke with a resident in the 400 block of South Washington Street in reference to a dog routinely running at large. A report was taken and forwarded to the Dog Warden’s Office for follow-up.

On Sept. 20, officers spoke with a female who reported receiving a threat from her ex-boyfriend. The female only requested a report at this time in case of further problems.

On Sept. 22, officers were sent to the 1100 block of South Clay Street for a report of an ungovernable juvenile. Officers met with the juvenile and his mother. After speaking with both, a report was written and forwarded to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office for review of charges.

On Sept. 22, officers responded to a residence in the 1200 block of South Bredeick Street for a possible domestic dispute between a mother and her daughter. After speaking with both, it was determined that the juvenile would stay at a friend’s house for the evening.

On Sept. 25, officers took a report from the residents in the 400 block of Clime Street, who stated that their dog was taken off it’s leash and set free. The owners of their dog needed a report to retrieve it.

On Sunday, officers were sent to the 800 block of Suthoff Street in reference to a dispute. Officers arrived and found that the ex-boyfriend of the complainant had stopped at her residence. An argument ensued between the male and the female’s current husband, at which time the male did leave. The complainant wished for a report to be made due to a threat that the ex-boyfriend made.

On Tuesday, officers met with a female at her residence in the 400 block of East Second Street in reference to an assault complaint. After speaking with the female, it was determined that the complaint was unfounded.

On Wednesday, officers met with a mother in the 800 block of Elm Street in reference to an ungovernable juvenile. The mother told officers that her daughter was refusing to go to school and has done this multiple times. Officers spoke with the juvenile and a report was taken in case of future incident’s.
