VAN WERT — The following individuals appeared before Judge Martin Burchfield in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:

Oct. 8

BOND HEARING

David Hecox, 24, Pittsfield, Illinois, requested a hearing on his motion for a reduction in this $500,000 cash bond. After the hearing, the court lowered the bond to $300,000 cash or commercial surety on the conditions that if he makes that bond, he have no contact with victim and that defendant must remain in the city limits of Pittsfield, Illinois, unless traveling directly to Van Wert for Court.

Tuesday

Violations

Ashley McDougle, 33, Delphos, admitted to violating her Treatment in Lieu of Conviction and bond by violating Conditions 4 on her bond by failing to report on a weekly basis and for testing positive for an illegal substance and Condition 5 of her Treatment in Lieu by having a positive drug screen. Court set bond at $50,000 ordered a PSI and set sentencing for Nov. 18.

Gabrielle R. Vann, 26, Wren, admitted to violating her bond by violating Condition 4 of the Standard Conditions of Community Control by failing to report. Court revoked current bond and reset bond for $100,000. Sentencing will be set at a later date.

Medical release

Amber A. Owens, 35, St. Marys, was released to EMHA following her motion for medical release from prison

Wednesday

Arraignment

Nicholas Gardner, 34, Van Wert, , entered a not guilty plea to theft, a felony 5. He was released on a $5,000 Personal Surety Bond. Pretrial set for Nov. 18.

Shane Murphy, 28, Hillard, entered a not guilty plea to improperly handling firearms, a felony 4; and OVI, a misdemeanor 1. He was released on a $5,000 Personal Surety Bond. Pretrial set for Nov. 4.

Violation

Dustin Cooper, 36, Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond by violating Condition 5 of the Standard Conditions of Community Control by testing positive for an illegal substance. Pretrial set for Oct. 21.

Sentencing

Spencer Davis, 27, Van Wert, sentenced for possession of heroin, a felony 5. Sentenced to: three years Community Control, two years Intensive Supervision, 30 days in jail at a time to be determined, 100 hours of community service, must attend substance abuse assessment and recovery court and was ordered to pay court costs.
