Oct. 28

Arraignment

Jesse Miller, 30, Convoy, entered a not guilty plea to charges of improper discharge of a firearm into a habitation, a felony 2, with a 3 year firearm specification; tampering with evidence, a felony 3; and improperly handling firearm in motor vehicle, a felony 4, with a 3-year firearm specification. Bond set at $100,000 cash or commercial surety and telephone pretrial set for Nov 4.

Oct. 29

Sentencing

Ryan Homier, 40, Van Wert, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5. Sentenced to 90 days jail, zero credit, ordered to pay partial appointed counsel fees and costs.

Oct. 30

Sentencings

April McCollum, 46, Van Wert, trespass in habitation, f4 and carrying a concealed weapon, a felony 4. Sentenced to three years community control, two years intensive probation, up to 6 months at WORTH Center, seek work after WORTH Center, substance abuse and mental health evaluation and treatment, handgun forfeited to Van Wert Police Department, 200 hours community service and was ordered to pay monthly probation fee and costs.

Jordan Ladd, 28, Delphos, domestic violence, a misdemeanor 1. Sentenced to two years community control, one day jail, credit for one day served, additional 30 days jail at later date, 100 hours community service, mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment, must be medically compliant and was ordered to pay monthly probation fee, partial appointed counsel fees and costs.

Monday

Bond violation

Narketta Mullins, 45, Kalida, admitted to violating her bond by failing to appear for a court hearing. Her bond was reset to $10,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial set for Nov. 4.

Zachariah Germann, 32, Van Wert, was found, after a full hearing, to have violated his bond by contacting his victim. New bond set at $75,000 cash or commercial surety with electronic house arrest if bond posted and jury trial scheduled for Jan. 25, 2021.

Bond hearing

Trey Jones, 23, Spencerville, requested a reduction in his $500,000 cash bond. Following a hearing, the new bond was set at $100,000 cash or commercial surety, with GPS electronic monitoring. Telephone pretrial set for Dec. 1.

Wednesday

Changes of pleas

Adam Purdy, 43, Delphos, changed his plea to guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5. He then requested, and was granted, Intervention in Lieu of Conviction and his case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program.

Narketta Mullins, 45, Kalida, changed her plea to guilty to an amended charge of domestic violence, a misdemeanor 1. Sentencing set for Dec. 9.

Arraignment

Nathaniel Diltz, 37, Delphos, entered a not guilty plea to trafficking in a Fentanyl-related compound, a felony 5. The court set a telephone pretrial for Nov. 25. Released on a surety bond.

Time waiver

James Vibbert, 23, Ohio City, agreed to a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case. Pretrial set for Nov. 25. Bond continued.
