Tuesday

Change of plea

Bobby Burnett, 26, Van Wert, changed his plea to Guilty to Aggravated Possession of Drugs, F5. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Dec. 16. Also admitted violating his bond by failing to report to probation. Re-released on surety bond.

Sentencings

Jared Smith, 32, Van Wert, Possession of Fentanyl related Compound, F5. Sentenced to 3 years community control, drug court evaluation, 200 hours community service, 30 days jail at later date, seek employment, substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatment, ordered to pay costs, partial appointed counsel fees and monthly probation fee.

Ronald Schumm, 23, Willshire, Aggravated Vehicular Homicide, F3. Sentenced to: 12 months prison, no credit as no days served, due to Covid restrictions he must report to jail on 11/30/20 at 10 am for transfer to prison, house arrest until that date. Driver’s License suspended 3 years, Court costs.

Wednesday

Change of plea

 

Nicholas Gardner, 34, van wert, changed his plea to guilty to an amended charge of theft, m1. Sentencing set for Dec. 9.

Arraignment

Rex Keysor, 50, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to Trafficking Fentanyl Compound, F5, Trafficking Heroin, F5, Possession Fentanyl compound, F5, Aggravated Possession Drugs, F5, and Possession Heroin F5. Surety bond on this case as defendant is currently in prison. PT to be set.

Sentencing

Rickie Welker, 38, Van Wert, Aggravated Possession Drugs, F5, was sentenced to: 90 days Electronic House Arrest, credit for 27 days served, ordered to pay partial

appointed counsel fees and court costs.

Ashley McDougle, 33, Delphos, Possession of Drugs, F4. Sentenced to: 3 years community control, 2 years intensive probation, 30 days jail at a later date, 200 hours community service, no alcohol or drugs without prescription, substance abuse and mental assessments and treatment, ordered to pay partial appointed counsel fees and court costs.
