The following is a weekly report concerning construction and maintenance work on State highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1.

Allen County

Interstate 75 between Bentley Road and state Route 103, Bluffton, will be restricted to one lane at times for a bridge repair project on I-75 over Riley Creek and on the county Road 15 bridge over I-75. A maximum width restriction of 13 feet is in place during lane restrictions. The county Road 15 bridge over I-75 is now open. The project is expected to be completed in late September.

I-75 over Little Riley Creek, just north of Beaverdam, is restricted to one lane at times for a bridge repair project. Shoulder restrictions are also possible during the project. A maximum width restriction of 12 feet is in place during the lane restrictions.

I-75 under Swaney Road, just north of Beaverdam, is restricted to one lane at times for a bridge repair project. Shoulder restrictions are also possible during the project. Swaney Road over I-75 is now open.

I-75 between state Route 81 and Napoleon Road will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the work zone for pavement repair.

State Route 65 between Grand Avenue and state Route 115, Lima, is reduced to one lane through the work zone at various locations for work related to a roadway rehabilitation project that will last through the summer.

The following impacts to traffic are occurring:

— Traffic on state Route 65 between Northern Avenue and Jacobs Avenue, just north of Casa Lu Al Restaurant, has been switched onto the northbound side of the roadway while widening work takes place on the southbound side.

— One lane of traffic is maintained in both directions. The turn lane is not available.

— Traffic delays can be expected during the project.

State Route 65 between Grand Avenue and Northern Avenue will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for milling of the pavement in preparation for resurfacing.

State Route 81 from Wapak Road to Eastown Road, Lima, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing. Work is expected to continue through mid-September.

State Route 81 between McClure Road and Fisher Road, west of Lafayette, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement resurfacing.

State Route 196 between state Route 117 and the Auglaize County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for drainage repairs.

Elida Road from just south of Fifth Street (Lincoln Highway) in the city of Delphos to its intersection with state Route 309 will close Sept. 17 for approximately 45 days during a joint and pavement repair project. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 309, U.S. 30 and Fifth Street back to Elida Road. The project is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation for the Allen County Engineer’s Office.

Putnam County

State Route 190 at township Road Q, north of Fort Jennings, closed Aug. 13 for approximately four months for the installation of a retaining wall along the Auglaize River. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 634 and U.S. 224 back to state Route 190.

State Route 634 between county Road N and township Road M, south of Cloverdale, will close Sept. 17 for approximately five days for a culvert replacement. Traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 224, state Route 66 and state Route 114 back to state Route 634.

Van Wert County

State Route 66 within the city of Delphos will be restricted to one lane at various locations for pavement repairs and resurfacing.

The following portions of state Route 116 in Van Wert County will be affected by culvert replacement projects:

— State Route 116 between Elgin Converse Road and Masters Road, east of Elgin, is now open following the replacement of two culverts.

— State Route 116 just south of Monticello Spencerville Road, west of Spencerville, will close Monday for approximately five days for a culvert replacement. Traffic will be detoured onto state Route 197, state Route 66 and state Route 117 back to state Route 116.

— State Route 116 between Ireland Road and Gamble Road, east of the city of Van Wert, will close Sept. 17 for approximately five days for the replacement of a culvert. Traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 127 and state Route 709 back to state Route 116.

— State Route 116 just south of Middle Point Road, east of the city of Van Wert, will close Sept. 24 for approximately five days for the replacement of a culvert. Traffic will be detoured onto U.S. 127 and state Route 709 back to state Route 116.
