LIMA — Rhodes State College Workforce Development and Innovation Division launched a new “Rhodes to Explore” Continuing and Community Education Program this week. These interactive non-credit classes are hands-on, fun and educational designed to help you gain a new skill, learn a new hobby, or create meaningful memories for you and your family. Anyone is welcome - you do not have to be a Rhodes State College student or employee to participate!

The Inaugural “Rhodes to Explore” Catalog is available online at or feel free to pick up a printed catalog in various locations throughout Allen County. Spring/Summer programs begin Tuesday.

This inaugural issue offers the following programs: Tuesday – Travel Presentation about a special trip to Discover Northern Italy and Its Lakes (A 9-day, 10-meal trip scheduled in September 2020 with Colette Travel.) This travel presentation night highlights the trip experiences to Padua, Glassblowing demonstrations, Venice, St. Mark’s Square, Lake Garda, Sirmione Lake Maggiore, Lake Como, and Bellagio.) March offers - Creative Writing and Literature, Cyber Security for Everyone, Hatha Yoga 101, Thought You Knew the BREW and Smoothies, too? Classes. April offers - Wine Tasting & Learning, Making Sense of Common Scents, Good, Better, Best-Living Healthy Simplified, Online Selling, Lima Symphony presents: Spaceships, Aliens, and Other Weird Creatures. May Offers - Garden Concrete Mosaic Stepping Stones - My Adult and Me

Summer classes: June - The Fine Art of Mobile Photography. July - Succulent Cupcake Decorating, and Computer Literacy. August - Make the Most of Fresh Summer Produce, Hand-sewing Woodland Animal Plushie - My Adult and Me, Autumn Wreath Making, and Hatha Yoga 101. Rhodes anticipates classes to fill up quickly, and encourages community members to register early.
