DELPHOS — On Dec. 7, officers spoke with a female in Lima who stated that she was assaulted by a male in Delphos. The female had been visiting the male and she stated that he refused to let her leave and assaulted her. The incident is being investigated by the Detective Bureau.

On Dec. 7, officers became aware of a warrant out of Allen County on 19-year-old Austin Nelson of Delphos for aggravated possession of drugs. Officers located Nelson and took him into custody. He was taken to the Delphos Police Department and later turned over to a deputy from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

On Sunday, a male came to the police department to report a theft incident. The male told officers that he discovered money missing from his bank account when he tried to make a purchase. The incident remains under investigation.

On Monday, officers were made aware of an active warrant out of Lima Municipal Court for 40-year-old Joshua Theobold of Delphos. Theobold was located and taken into custody. He was then transported to the Allen County Jail.

On Monday, officers were called to a residence in the 600 block of South Main Street for a disturbance. Officers arrived and spoke with all parties involved. Officers found that a male and female came to the residence to help another female move out. During the moving of items, the tenants of the apartment became angry with the male and female that came to help. A verbal altercation ensued in which the tenant was accused of telling the male he was going to harm him. At this time no charges were pursued.

On Monday, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of Fourth Street in reference to a missing elderly male. Officers took the males information and began to look for him along with surrounding agencies. A short time later, the male was located in Auglaize County and was picked up by family members.

On Tuesday, officers were made aware of a domestic assault that had occurred in the 200 block of Suthoff Street. Officers proceeded to this location and made contact with a male and female at the residence. Officers investigated the incident and found probable cause to arrest the male, 22-year-old Christopher Gile of Delphos, for causing physical harm to a family or household member. Gile was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Jail. He will appear in Lima Municipal Court to face the charge of domestic violence and assault.

On Thursday, officers were sent to the 900 block of Lima Avenue to investigate a domestic dispute. Officers arrived and met with a male and female at the residence. Each stated that no physical violence had occurred and that it was verbal only. The female left the residence to stay with a friend.

On Thursday, officers met with a male at the Delphos Police Department in reference to an unwanted guest at his mother’s residence. Officers gathered the information and proceeded to a residence in the 600 block of South Main Street. Officers met with the unwanted guest and advised him to leave the residence at which time he complied. Officers also found that the court had ordered that the male have no contact with the female homeowner. A report was taken and will be forwarded to the Lima Municipal Court Prosecutors Office for review of possible charges.
