DELPHOS — On Dec. 14, officers were dispatched to the 700 block of Clime Street in reference to a vehicle left abandoned. Officers located the vehicle but could not make contact with the registered owner. The vehicle was towed from the area. During an inventory of the vehicle, drug abuse instruments along with marijuana was discovered in the vehicle. No charges are expected to be pursued.

On Sunday, officers responded to the 100 block of East Seventh Street in reference to a complaint of domestic violence. Officers arrived and met with a male and female at the residence. During the investigation of the incident, it was determined that no physical violence had occurred but the male, 30-year-old Christopher Kirk of Delphos, was arrested by officers for making threats to the female. Kirk was transported to the Allen County Jail and will appear on a fourth degree misdemeanor charge of domestic violence by threat.

On Sunday, officers were made aware of a possible assault that took place in the 800 block of Skinner Street. Officers spoke with a case worker for a female who lives in Lima. The female was visiting a residence in Delphos and claimed to the case worker that she was assaulted by a male on Skinner Street. Officers spoke with the female’s mother as well as the male and did not find any evidence that she was assaulted at this time. The incident is under investigation by the Detective Bureau.

On Monday, officers took a report from a male in the 400 block of West Clime Street. The male stated that he had seen juveniles around his residence and believed that they were attempting to break into his house.

On Tuesday, officers responded to the 400 block of North Franklin Street in reference to a female who had attempted to harm herself. Officers contacted Delphos Fire and Rescue and the female was transported to the hospital for treatment. Officers were also advised that the females live-in boyfriend had assaulted her son. Officers spoke with the juvenile and he stated that his mom’s boyfriend put him in a choke hold and threw him to the ground after the two had a verbal dispute. A report was taken and forwarded to the prosecutor’s office for review of charges.
