DELPHOS — On July 9, a male called the police department in reference to an identity theft. The male told officers that someone unknown to him used his personal information to get employment at a Delphos business. A report was taken and forwarded to the Detective Bureau.

On July 10, the Detective Bureau began an investigation involving a sexual assault of a juvenile. That investigation is on-going.

On July 11, officers located a male, 26-year-old Jacob Michael Keith of Delphos, who had an active warrant out of Allen County. Keith was taken into custody and turned over to a deputy from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

On July 12, officers met with a female in the 900 block of South Erie Street, who reported damage done to her vehicle. The complainant told officers that a neighbor, who is a juvenile, purposely threw a ball at her vehicle causing damage. Officers spoke with the juvenile, who did admit to throwing the ball. The report was forwarded to the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office for review.

On July 13, a female came to the police department to file a report. The female told officers that she was threatened by her daughter while picking up her granddaughter, whom she has full custody of. On July 14, the daughter came to the police department to report that her mother had assaulted her during this incident.

On July 13, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of North Main Street in reference to a theft incident. A male residing at an apartment there told officers that his bicycle was stolen from in front of the apartment building.

On July 13, officers met with a female at the police department who reported a sexual assault of her juvenile niece. An initial report was taken and forwarded to the Detective Bureau. The incident remains under investigation.

On July 16, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing a male, 29-year-old Jack White of Delphos, operating the vehicle. Officers had prior knowledge that White’s driving privileges were suspended. White was issued a citation for a major offense court suspension. He will appear in Lima Municipal Court to face the charge.

On July 17, the owner of an apartment building came to the police department to request a criminal trespass form be filed and served on a male whom he no longer wants on his property. The male was served with the order that evening. On July 18, officers received word that the male, 48-year-old Michael Dean Ball, was back on the property. Officers arrived and located Ball and took him into custody. He was released after being served a summons to appear in Lima Municipal Court to face the charge of criminal trespass.

On July 17, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle. During the traffic stop, officers were granted permission to search the vehicle. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed multiple items of drug paraphernalia as well drug abuse instruments and a substance believed to be methamphetamines. A female in the vehicle, 26-year-old Jessica Antoine of Delphos, claimed the items to be hers. Antoine was issued a summons to appear in Lima Municipal Court to face the charge of possession of drug abuse instruments. Further charges are expected pending the outcome of testing on the suspected methamphetamines.

On July 18, officers met with a female at the police department who wished to file a sexual assault report. The female told officers that the father of her child, whom she is no longer in a relationship with, touched her inappropriately and continued after being told to stop. The female requested a report to file for a protection order. The report was forwarded to the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.

On July 18, officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of South Clay Street for a domestic dispute. Officers arrived and met with a male and a female at the residence. After speaking with both parties, it was determined that this was a verbal dispute only and no charges will be pursued.

On July 19, officers met with a female who wished to file a report. The female told officers that her employer invited her over to his house after work to visit. The female said that she went and while there, was touched inappropriately by her boss. The incident remains under investigation.
