DELPHOS — On Aug. 21, officers were sent to a residence in the 400 block of South Franklin Street. Upon arrival, officers met with a male and female who stated that a neighbor had been harassing them. Officers spoke with the neighbor a short time later and he claimed that he is the one being harassed. All parties were advised not to have contact with each other.

On Aug. 21, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing the driver commit a traffic offense. During the traffic stop it was found that a passenger, 40-year-old Jeremy Whitaker, of Delphos, had an active warrant out of Allen County. During this investigation officers found Whitaker to be in possession of drug abuse instruments. After a search of the vehicle suspected Methamphetamines were found inside. Additional charges are pending on Whitaker and the driver of the vehicle.

On Aug. 22, an officer on patrol observed a male, 37-year-old Nathaniel Diltz of Delphos, at his residence. Diltz was taken into custody on an active warrant out of Allen County. An additional charge of possession of drug abuse instruments will be reviewed by the Van Wert Municipal Court Prosecutor.

On Aug. 22, officers were dispatched to an altercation involving several teenagers and an adult. Upon arrival, officers found that the teenagers had gotten into a physical altercation after a game they were playing became too rough. A female, whose daughter was involved, arrived before officers and assaulted a male juvenile. Charges will be reviewed by the Juvenile Prosecutor as well as the Municipal Court Prosecutor.

On Aug. 27, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of Superior Street for a dispute. Officers met with a male and female who had been in an altercation. The female wanted to remove items to leave the residence, at which time, officers advised the male to allow her to do that.

On Aug. 27, officers were sent to the 300 block of West First Street for a theft report. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant, who stated that an item was removed from his yard.

On Aug. 27, officers took a complaint from a female in reference to cable lines torn from her residence by a garbage truck. The female requested a report as this has been an on-going problem.

On Aug. 28, officers were made aware of a male who was threatening to harm himself. Officers located the male a short time later and transported him for evaluation and treatment.

On Aug. 29, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 400 block of North State Street for a domestic dispute. Officers arrived and spoke with a male and female at the residence. After speaking with them, it was found that they both had a different account of the incident. The male agreed to leave the residence for the night.

On Aug. 29, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle after observing the driver commit a traffic offense. During the traffic stop, officers found that a passenger in the vehicle, 27-year-old Matthew Gage of Kentucky, had an active warrant for his arrest through the Lima Police Department. Gage was taken into custody and turned over to a deputy from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday, officers and Delphos Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of South Canal Street for a male unresponsive in a yard. Officers arrived and Fire and Rescue personnel began administering aid to the male. The male, 27-year-old Alex Hummer of Elida, regained consciousness and refused any further treatment. Hummer was issued a summons to appear in Van Wert Municipal Court to face the charge of disorderly conduct.

On Monday, officers took a report from a female who stated that she found a suspicious charge while checking her credit score. The female was advised to contact the Credit Institution to determine what the charge was for.
