DELPHOS — Delphos Police investigated two accidents last week.

On Aug. 7, both drivers in a two-vehicle crash at Main and Fifth streets claimed to have had the green light when their vehicles collided in the intersection. Howard G. Violet, 61, of Delphos was traveling southbound on North Main Street and Carmel Maynard, 29, of Delphos was traveling westbound on West Fifth Street. No citations were given as officers were unable to determine who was at fault.

On Friday, a Pennsylvania man was cited for failure to yield after stopping following a two-vehicle crash at Elida Avenue and Elida Road. According to reports, Donald L. Nighswander, 51, of Brookville, Pennsylvania, was traveling on Elida Avenue and had stopped at the stop sign at Elida Road and then proceeded into the intersection and struck a vehicle driven on Elida Road by Tonda S. McMichael, 60, of Lima. McMichael did not have a stop sign.

No one was injured in either accident.
