DELPHOS — On Dec. 21, Delphos Police were contacted by Carol Short, 59, of Delphos in reference to an accident that occurred earlier in the day.

According to the police report, Short had been traveling eastbound on Cleveland Street and stopped at the four-way stop sign at South Clay Street and proceeded into the intersection, where her vehicle was struck by a car driven by Jaylynne Hamilton, 22, of Delphos, who had stopped at the stop but failed to yield to the Short vehicle which was there first.

Short and Hamilton exchanged information and then went on to work. Short reported the accident later that morning.

Hamilton was cited for failure to yield after stopping.

At 4:53 p.m. on Dec. 29, police responded to an accident at the intersection of East Second and Pierce streets.

According to reports, a vehicle driven by Tyler Schulte, 25, of Delphos was traveling eastbound on East Second Street and began going through the intersection of Pierce Street when a vehicle driven by Logan Mabry, 20, of St. Marys, traveling westbound on East Second Street failed to yield and attempted a southbound turn onto North Pierce Street, causing the Schulte vehicle to strike the Mabry vehicle.
