DELPHOS — A semi-tractor trailer operator cut a corner too close Tuesday afternoon while making a right-hand turn from Fifth Street onto Main Street.

The rear of the trailer jumped the curb and became entrapped on the safety bollard on the corner installed to keep traffic from cutting the curb too close and causing damage to the curbing and sidewalk.

The trailer was full of grain and United Equity workers provided an empty trailer to unload the hung-up vehicle to make it more manageable.

The outside eastbound lane of Fifth Street west of Main Street were closed for approximately eight hours.

No further information is available at this time.
