VAN WERT – The following individuals appeared before Judge Martin Burchfield in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:

May 10

Bond violation

Christopher Knuth, 34, Middle Point, admitted to violating his bond by failing a drug test. Knuth was released on a surety bond with electronic house arrest and he must be in residence at 5626 Converse Roselm Road. Sentencing set for May 29.

Monday

Bond violation

Tera Hernandez, 39, Ohio City, admitted to violating her bond and her treatment in lieu program by failing drug test and failing to attend counseling. Her bond was set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety and set sentencing for June 26.

Wednesday

Changes of pleas

Damian White, 29, Lima, changed his plea to guilty to OVI, a felony 4. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for June 26.

Randal Michaelson Jr., 30, Van Wert, entered a plea of guilty to a Prosecutor’s Bill of Information charging him with criminal damaging, a misdemeanor 2. The previous charge of felony vandalism was dismissed by prosecutor for his plea to this Bill of Information.

Zachary Hickman, 23, Delphos, changed his plea to guilty to aggravated trafficking drugs. a felony 3; aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 3; and illegal conveyance of controlled substance into the jail, a felony 3. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for June 18.

Sentencings

Ryan Miller, 29, Van Wert, theft, a felony 5. Sentenced to: 90 days jail with work release, ordered to pay partial appointed counsel fees, costs and restitution to victim by paying her $1,000 plus redeeming two rings from Cashland.

Terry Sites, 48, Van Wert, domestic violence, a misdemeanor 1. Sentenced to: two years community control, no contact with victim, 75 days jail beginning June 16 with work release, 30 days jail at later date, 50 hours community service, mental health and substance abuse assessment and treatment, one year intensive probation and was ordered to pay monthly probation fee and court costs.

Timothy Taylor, 36, Van Wert, passing bad checks, a misdemeanor 1, Sentenced to: 90 days jail, credit for one day served, must report to jail or be in electronic house arrest by 9 a.m. on Monday. Must pay restitution to Sav-A-Lot of $1,121.41, fine of $100, partial appointed counsel fees and costs.
