VAN WERT — The following individuals appeared in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:

Thursday

Jerad Caldwell, 31, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to illegal conveyance of drugs onto government facility, a felony 3. He also pled guilty to a prosecutor’s bill of information charging him with aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony 2. He was then sentenced to two years prison on each charge, consecutive, with credit for 81 days already serveda nd ordered to pay court costs. The court also forfeited $1,712 currency used in the offenses to the Van Wert City Police Department Trust Fund.

Monday

Kevin Davies, 28, Van Wert, appeared for a bond violation for failure to report to probation. Bond was set at $3,000 cash and pretrial scheduled for Aug. 29.

Changes of pleas

Kevin Davies Jr., 28, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to an amended charge of attempted aggravated possession of drugs, a misdemeanor 1. He was then sentenced to 60 days jail with credit for 12 days served, also ordered to pay partial appointed counsel fees and court costs.

Christopher Columbus, 33, Ohio City, changed his plea to guilty to failing to provide a change of address to the sheriff as a registered offender. He was sentenced to 60 days jail with credit for 30 days served. Also ordered to pay costs and partial appointed counsel fees.

Kimberly Bruner, 40. Mt. Airy, North Carolina, changed her plea to guilty to improper handling of firearm in a motor vehicle, a felony 4. She was then sentenced to 60 days jail with credit for 60 days served. Also ordered to pay costs and partial appointed counsel fees.

Time waivers

Blaine Fromm, 27, Lima, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case. Pretrial set for Sept. 19.

Michael Elston-Neal, 26, Van Wert, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case. Pretrial set for Sept. 19.

Violations

Christopher Lindeman, 30, Delphos, admitted violating his probation by being convicted of OVI in Allen County. Sentencing set for Sept. 26.

Milo Holt Jr., 19, Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond and his treatment in Lieu of conviction by testing positive for marijuana. Further hearing set for Sept. 19.

Sentencings

Robert Arnold III, 35, Van Wert, was sentenced for trespass in a habitation, a felony 4. Sentence was: five years community control, up to sux months at WORTH Center, 200 hours community service, 30 days jail at later date, complete GED, substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatment, three years intensive probation and was ordered to pay partial appointed counsel fees, court costs and monthly probation fee.

Nathan Dunn, 35, Van Wert, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony  5. Sentenced to: 150 days jail, credit for 31 days served, ordered to pay partial appointed counsel fees plus costs.
