VAN WERT — The following individuals appeared before Judge Martin Burchfield in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:

Monday

Bond violation

Tony Brown, 61, denied violating his bond by possessing drugs and paraphernalia. Bond set at $100,000 cash or commercial surety. Hearing to be announced.

Tuesday

Bill of information

Destiney Ramos, 22, Van Wert, entered a guilty plea to a prosecutor’s Bill of Information charging her with theft, a felony 5. The previous charge of theft, F3, will be dismissed for her plea. The court set her bond at $20,000 cash or commercial surety, ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Dec. 20.

Probation violation

Dustin Cooper, 34, Van Wert, admitting violating his probation by having a positive drug test. He was re-sentenced to five years community control, under the same conditions, plus: 30 days jail at a later date and drug treatment evaluations.

Wednesday

Bond violation

Danny Mullins, 61, Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond by failing a drug test. His bond was re-set at surety bond with drug testing and twice a week reporting. Pretrial set for Dec. 12.

Change of plea

Dustin Stuckey, 32, Middle Point, entered a plea of guilty to a Prosecutor’s Bill of Information charging him with possession of heroin, a felony 5. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Jan. 9. Bond modified to surety bond with twice a week reporting and drug testing.

Peter Simpson, 27, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to misuse of a credit card, a misdemeanor 1. He was then sentenced to: one year community control, 10 days jail at later date and 50 hours community service and ordered to pay restitution $78, monthly probation fee, partial appointed counsel fees, and costs.

Jared Shaffer, 19, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5. He then requested and was granted Intervention in Lieu of Conviction and his case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program.
