VAN WERT — The following individuals appeared before Judge Martin Burchfield in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:

Sept. 20

Change of plea

Colby Black, 35, Ohio City, changed his plea to guilty to trespass in habitation, a felony 4. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Oct. 30.

Tuesday

Arraignment/change of plea

April Ladd, 37, Convoy, entered a plea of guilty after her arraignment to aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 3; and possession of drugs, a felony 5. She also agreed to forfeit $286 cash used in the crimes. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Oct. 30.

Wednesday

Changes of plea

Caleb Mendez, 23, Decatur, changed his plea to guilty to aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 3 (two counts), and trafficking in fentanyl compound, a felony 4. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Nov. 6.

Gabrielle Vann, 25, Wren, changed her plea to guilty to aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 3 (two counts), and trafficking in Fentanyl compound, a felony 4. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Nov. 6.

MacKenzie Allen, 19, Van Wert, changed her plea to Guilty to an amended charge of theft, a misdemeanor 1. Sentencing set for Oct. 30.

Valerie Parent, 38, Delphos, changed her plea to guilty to tampering with records, a felony 3; and medicaid eligibility fraud, a misdemeanor 1. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Nov. 6.

Justin Diltz, 65, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5. He was then sentenced to: 14 days jail beginning Oct. 11 at 9 a.m. He was also ordered to pay costs and partial appointed counsel fees.

Jerry Lee Spurr, 51, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5. He then requested and was granted, Intervention in Lieu of Conviction and his case was stayed pending completion of the treatment program.
