VAN WERT — The following individuals appeared before Judge Martin Burchfield in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:

Oct. 10

Arraignment

Jeffery Harmon, 56, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to grand theft, a felony 4. He was released on a surety bond and pretrial set Dec. 2.

Sentencing

Adam Hector, 32, Van Wert, was sentenced on two counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs, each a felony 4. Sentenced to: 18 months prison on each count, consecutive, credit for 17 days served and was ordered to pay court costs and restitution of $250 to West Central Ohio Task Force.

Time waiver

Christopher Carpenter, 19, Decatur, Indiana, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case. Pretrial set for Dec. 20. Defendant also requested a modification of his $250,000 cash or commercial surety bond. That bond request was denied and bond remains the same.

Oct. 11

Probation violation

Cameron Lyons, 21, Lima, admitted to violating his probation by failing to give probation his current address, and failure to report to probation officer. He was sentenced to 176 days jail, credit for 173 days already served.

Wednesday

CHANGES OF PLEAS

Jay Yoh, 60, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to improper handling firearm in motor vehicle, a felony 4; and OVI, a misdemeanor 1. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Nov. 27.

Johnathan Murphy, 34, Van Wert, entered a plea of guilty to a prosecutor’s Bill of Information charging him with inducing panic, a misdemeanor 1. Sentencing set for Nov. 13.

Emily Bollenbacher, 28, Van Wert, changed her plea to guilty to an amended charge of aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 2; and to aggravated trafficking in drugs, a felony 4. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Nov. 13.

Jeremy Lindeman, 37, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to Possession of Cocaine, a felony 5. He was then sentenced to 60 days jail concurrent with his current WORTH Center sentence from Putnam County and ordered to pay court costs.

Calvin Placke, 25, Convoy, changed his plea to guilty to trafficking marijuana, a felony 5; and possession of hashish, also a felony 5. The Court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Nov. 27.

Arraignment

Jason Zamora, 41, Payne, entered a plea of not guilty to a charge of aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 3. Released on surety bond. Pretrial set for Nov. 13.

Violation

Spencer Davis, 28, Van Wert, admitted to violating his probation by terminating employment without permission, positive drug test, fail to report to probation and fail to complete treatment. Sentencing set for Nov. 13. Bond set at $50,000 cash or commercial surety.
