VAN WERT — The following individuals appeared before Judge Martin Burchfield in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:

Nov. 14

Arraignment

Anita Dunlap, 42, Toledo, entered a not guilty plea to a 14 count indictment including seven counts of theft, each a felony 5; and seven counts of forgery, each a felony 5. She was released on a surety bond with a pretrial set for Dec. 11.

Bond violation

Jeremy Nielsen, 40, Ohio City, admitted to violating his bond by failing a drug screen. New bond was set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety. Sentencing on the underlying charge is already set for Dec. 11.

Change of plea

Curtis Coleman, 48, Van Wert, changed his plea to guilty to aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 3. The court ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for Jan. 8.

Nov. 15

Bond violation

Korbin Taylor, 21, Van Wert, admitted to violating his bond by having drugs in his possession for court. Bond set at $25,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial set for Dec. 11.

Initial appearance

Danny Felger Jr., 56, Ohio City, appeared for an initial appearance on a charge of retaliation, a felony 3. Preliminary hearing set for Nov. 19, bond set at $250,000 cash or commercial surety, ordered no contact with Judge Jill Straley or the municipal court unless at a scheduled court hearing. He then appeared on Tuesday before Visiting Judge David Cheney and in open court waived his right to a preliminary hearing and agreed to be bound over to the Grand Jury. Bond remained the same.

Wednesday

Arraignment

Trei Patrick Leavaughn Geiser, 23, Huntertown, Indiana, entered a not guilty plea to theft, a felony 5. Bond set at $10,000 cash or commercial surety and pretrial set for Dec. 18. Geiser also signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case.

Violations

Marah Davis, 29, Decatur, Indiana, admitted violating her bond by failing to appear for court hearing. Released on surety bond with pretrial set for Jan. 10.

Johnathan Wells, 39, Sidney, new bond set at $5,000 cash or commercial surety. Also signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case.

Sentencings

Caleb Phillips, 19, Van Wert, aggravated possession of cocaine, a felony 4; trafficking marijuana, a felony 5; possession of marijuana, a felony 5; and aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5. Sentenced to: three years community control, up to six months at the WORTH Center, substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatment, 30 days jail at a later date, seek employment after WORTH, three years intensive probation, forfeited $1,155.92 to Van Wert County Sheriff’s Office and was ordered to pay monthly probation fee, partial appointed counsel fees and court costs.

Michael Reichert, 36, Van Wert, aggravated trafficking drugs, a felony 2. Sentenced to: 6-9 years prison (6 years mandatory) with credit 149 days served and was ordered to pay court costs.

Johnathan Murphy, 34, Van Wert, inducing panic, a misdemeanor 1. Sentenced to: two years community control, 30 days jail at later date, 50 hours community service, substance abuse and mental health assessments and treatment, must be medically compliant, one year intensive probation and was ordered to pay monthly probation fee, partial appointed counsel fees and court costs.
