DELPHOS — The Delphos Canal Days Committee has announced the entertainment lineup for the 2018 festival set Sept. 14, 15 and 16 in downtown Delphos.

Dustin Hites will kick off the three-day festival from 4-7 p.m. Sept. 14. Hites is a singer/songwriter from Lima who has performed all around the area.

Brother Believe Me will take the stage at 8 p.m.

“Great vocals,” “awesome song selections,” “memorable crowd interaction” and most importantly, “FUN!” Those are just a few of the phrases heard from thousands of fans that flock to see Brother Believe Me or “B-B-M” as it’s often chanted at shows.

Offering a diverse songlist from newer artists like Bruno Mars, Imagine Dragons and Maroon 5, all the way to Poison, Michael Jackson, Shinedown and too many others to list, BBM satisfies nearly any musical taste. From thousands at a family-friendly festival to packed uptown dance clubs, even weddings and private parties, BBM has earned a reputation as a mainstay of regional high-quality entertainment.

The members of BBM hail from across Ohio including Lima and Cleveland. New singer Jon Drake is a renowned rock vocalist and multi-instrumentalist from Cleveland. Founding members Jason Wheeler on guitar, and Brian Carpenter on drums have been with the band since its inception. Chris Brokamp plays bass and provides backing vocals. All members have played in many successful area bands such as Splendid Chaos, LessR, Gatlin, and Nemesis. They now bring those years of experience into one of the most exciting and entertaining acts in the Midwest!

Active since 2007, the band has earned numerous spots with national acts like Sevendust, Hellyeah, and Clutch. Even opening slots for Travis Tritt, and headlining spots for tens of thousands of fans at dozens of large festivals and clubs across Ohio, Put-in-Bay, Indiana, Kentucky and many others.

The group has also revamped the stage and light show as well as all new songs for this year.

On Sept. 15, fresh off their appearance at the Delphian Social Club’s Downtown Social on Friday, Adam Wisher and Todd Moenter will play from 4-7 p.m. with Tricky Dick and the Coverups on stage at 8 p.m.

Tricky Dick and The Cover-Ups hail from Cleveland. They feel that a championship city deserves a championship cover band and will take any wedding, nightclub or corporate event to the next level of entertainment. Fans and friends of this top-rated pop/rock band know to expect a gigantic variety of songs performed back to back for a non-stop, high energy party. They also know to expect a professional and dynamic light show, transforming any venue into a concert atmosphere.

Every show, Tricky Dick & the Cover-Ups has one mission: to make sure everyone has as much fun as possible. An ever growing song list that is updated weekly ensures that fans will never see the same show twice. Members of the band rotate instruments and lead vocals on songs allowing for a fresh and exciting mix throughout the performance.

Tricky Dick has been performing for nine years and have logged nearly 1,000 performances as of early 2017, including over 100 weddings, festivals and corporate events. In addition to being named “Best Cover Band” by publications such as Cleveland Magazine and Scene Magazine, they have partnered with many organizations and non-profits: the Cleveland Cavaliers, Cleveland Browns, Cleveland Indians, United Way Young Leaders, Downtown Cleveland Alliance, and ESPN Cleveland, to name a few.

To close the festival, Kaitlyn Schmit and the Move will play from 3-6 p.m. on Sept. 16. The band is just a couple of dudes and a chick that like to party and rock your face off. Considered a variety band, Kaitlyn Schmidt & the Move play music of all sorts: Country, pop, 90s R&B and just a dash of rock ‘n’ roll.
