DELPHOS — The votes were in! Winners in the new Delphos Area Chamber of Commerce awards were announced Saturday during the chamber’s annual dinner “Delphos Derby.” Kosta’s Topp Chalet was named Small Business of the Year; K&M Tire won Community Involvement and Economic Impact Business of the Year; and the Kiwanis of Delphos was name Non-Profit Business/Club of the Year.

The Delphos Eagle’s gathering room was at capacity for the dinner showcasing local businesses and their success over the year.

“Small business is the heart of the business community here in the Delphos area, which is why the Delphos Chamber of Commerce holds this event each year. We are here tonight to honor a number of businesses, non-profit businesses or clubs along with individuals for their outstanding business achievements, civic contributions and for their community commitment,” Chamber Executive Director Maria Diltz said. “Whether those contributions have been financial in nature or donations of their time and effort, all of the businesses tonight have shown that giving back to the community is an essential component of running a successful business.”

Chamber President Angie Gable shared an important announcement.

“As many of you already know, Maria is going to step down into a part-time position with the Chamber after tonight,” Gable said. “Maria has been the driving force behind so many great things for Delphos and the Chamber over the past three years and we’re beyond thankful for all that she does and that she will still be a part of our team.”

Gable then introduced Lindsay Lane as the new executive director.

“Lindsey will be taking over day-to-day operations and will work alongside Maria on projects and events to continue our Chamber mission and work with all of you,” Gable added. “We are excited to have both of these amazing ladies representing the Chamber and Delphos.”
