DELPHOS — The Delphos FFA was recently the recipient of a surprise
donation. The Delphos Browns Backers gave the group $10,000 raised from
the Rustic Cafe/Browns Backers annual golf outing.
The organization selects a Delphos community project or club/group to receive the monies from the outing.
“We
have never had such a large donations from one source,” FFA Advisor
Scott Elwer said. “We are very grateful and will use the money for
several different things.”
Items on the list include funding
monthly chapter activities, attending state and national conventions,
leadership workshops and seminars, the chapter banquet and help provide
FFA jackets to new members at a reduced cost.
“The money will help with a lot of activites and the advancement of our members,” Elwer said.
There are currently 63 FFA members from Jefferson and St. John’s schools.
