LIMA — The following is a weekly report concerning construction and maintenance work on State highways within the Ohio Department of Transportation District 1. All outlined work is weather permitting.

Allen County

Interstate 75 between Napoleon Road and State Route 235, just south of the village of Beaverdam to three miles north of the village of Bluffton, in Allen and Hancock counties, will experience lane restrictions and ramp closures for paving and reconstruction through November 2020.

Upcoming impacts

• I-75 northbound exit ramp to SR 696 will close on Wednesday, Sept. 16 for approximately 14 days.

Detour: I-75 north to SR 103/ Bentley Road to I-75 south back to SR 696.

•I-75 northbound entrance ramp from SR 696 will close on September 23 for approximately 14 days. Detour information is expected in the next report.

Continuing impacts

• Northbound passing lane at SR 696, Beaverdam, will be shifted to the southbound side.

• Nighttime lane restrictions 7 p.m. – 7 a.m. will continue for approximately two months for paving operations.

State Route 65/Elm Street and Pine Street at their intersection in the city of Lima closed June 1 for replacement of the bridges over the Ottawa River. Completion is expected in late fall 2020.

Continuing impact

• The bridges at Elm Street and Pine Street are closed at the intersection of Elm Street and Pine Street.

— Eastbound detour: Central Avenue to Market Street to Bellefontaine Avenue (SR 309/SR 117).

— Westbound detour: Bellefontaine Avenue (SR 309/ SR 117) to Market Street to S. Union Street.

State Route 117 between the city of Lima and the Van Wert County line will have lane restrictions through the work zone for drainage work.

Putnam County

U.S. 224 between the village of Ottawa and State Route 235, Hancock County, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for a resurfacing project. The project will complete in late September.

State Route 65 between in the village of West Leipsic will close Sept. 14 for approximately 10 days for railroad repair.

Upcoming impact

• Detour: SR 109 to SR 613 back to SR 65.

State Route 108 between State Route 15 and the Henry County line will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for pavement repairs.

State Route 108 between SR 613 and Township Road G, approximately one mile south of the village of Miller City, closed on Aug. 3 for approximately 75 days for bridge deck and slope repair over the Miller City cutoff.

— Detour: SR 613 to SR 109 to SR 18 back to SR 108

— Detour: SR 634 to U.S. 224 to SR 115 back to SR 189

State Route 613 just east of SR 109, near West Leipsic closed Sept. 8 for three days for a culvert replacement.

Continuing impact

— Detour: SR 109 to SR 65 back to SR 613

State Route 613 at County Road 2, between the village of West Leipsic and the village of McComb will close Tuesday for approximately two days for road widening.

Detour: CR 5 to U.S. 224 to SR 235, back to SR 613

Van Wert County

U.S. 30 at U.S. 224, both eastbound and westbound, Van Wert, will be restricted to one lane through the work zone beginning Monday for a project that will reconstruct and lower the pavement beneath the U.S. 224 overhead to increase vertical clearance. The project also includes drainage work, and replacement of barrier wall and guardrail. The project is expected to be completed late October.

— US. 30 westbound entrance ramp from U.S. 224 will close on Monday for approximately 30 days.

• Detour: U.S. 30 eastbound to U.S. 127 back to U.S. 30 westbound

Continuing impact

— U. S. 30 traffic will be maintained in one lane in each direction.

— Liberty Union Road from U.S. 30 to Terry Road closed Aug. 10 for approximately three months.

Multi-Route paving project began Aug. 10. The project includes resurfacing of the existing pavement, pavement repairs, work on curb ramps, and widening of bridge approaches on U.S. 224. Lane restrictions will be in place with traffic being maintained by flaggers. Work is expected to be finished by early October. U.S. 224 from the Indiana state line to the city of Van Wert.

• U.S. 127 from the CSX Railroad line north of Main St. to the intersection of U.S. 127, U.S. 224, and Marsh Rd.

• SR 118 in Van Wert the bridge over Town Creek to U.S. 127/Washington St.

• SR 709 from SR 118 to Township Road 58.
