DELPHOS — Teams acted like big babies throwing flap jacks, flipping cups and dropping potatoes until they got their worm pie and rained on during the 2018 Battle of the Businesses Friday at Canal Days.

Schrader Realty took home the traveling trophy grudgingly handed over by Westrich Furniture. Shrader team members included, Matt Bullinger, Jessica Merschman, Monica Sarka, Zavier Buzard and Ricky Johns.

TMD #2 took second place and First Federal Bank and Union Bank tied for third.

Twenty-eight teams battles through the Baby Obstacle Course, Flap Jack Relay, Flip Cup Pyramid, Potato Drop, Worm Pie and Rain on Me, including Community Health Professionals, Delphos Pizza Hut, First Federal Bank, K&M Tire #1, K&M Tire #2, Kessen NeighNeigh, Kessen Bark, Kessen Meow, Kiwanis, Krendl Machine, Lakeview Dip Dunkers, Lakeview Gel Jigglers, Lakeview Pudding Pals, Lakeview Flawless Flan, Lavish Salon, Mohr Smiles, Raabe Ford Lincoln #1, Raabe Ford Lincoln #2, Ridgeview Behavioral Hospital, Schrader Realty, TMD #1, TMD #2, TMD #3, Ultimate RB, Union Bank, Unverferth, Vancrest and Westrich Furniture.

During Baby Obstacle, one team member was the mom tending to three crying babies who needed pacifiers, diapers, bibs and more.

Teams tested their skills flipping flap jacks and then red Solo cups and making pyramids.

Waddling was the norm during the Potato Drop with spuds clenched between knees and thighs while racing to a bucket.

Ten gummy worms hid in mounds of whipped cream and among marshmallows for Worm Pie with contestants using only their faces to dig through the cream to find the worm.

Rain on Me gave teammates a good shower as they caught water balloons in plastic colanders on their heads.
