VAN WERT — The following individuals appeared before Judge Martin Burchfield in Van Wert County Common Pleas Court:



Ecco Burker, 33, Van Wert, entered a not guilty plea to forgery, a felony 5. She was released on a surety bond with Pretrial set for Tuesday.


Brandi Runyon, 27, Van Wert, 2 counts of assault on police officer, a felony 4. Sentenced to 17 months prison on each count, concurrent, with credit for 21 days served and ordered to pay court costs.


Arraignments (All pled not guilty)

Michael Elston-Neal, 26, New Haven, Indiana, aggravated possession of drugs, released on a surety bond with a waiver of extradition and pretrial set for June 6.

Damian White, 28, Lima, OVI, a felony  4; and possession of cocaine, a felony 5. Released on a surety bond with pretrial set for June 6.

Korbin Taylor, 20, Van Wert, aggravated possession of drugs, a felony 5; and two counts of forgery, each a felony 5. Released on a surety bond with pretrial set for June 6.

Time waiver

Kyle Caldwell, 38, Van Wert, signed a time waiver in open court and requested additional time to prepare his case. Trial set to begin Aug. 27.

Bond violation

Larry Flory III, 34, Van Wert, admitting to violating his bond by consuming alcohol. New bond set at $5,000 cash or commercial surety with pretrial set for Wednesday.


Joshua Bunker, 23, Van Wert, two counts of obstructing official business, each a felony 5; harassment by bodily substance, a felony 5; and assault, a misemeanor 1. Sentenced to: 12 months prison on each of the felony charges, 180 days jail on the assault, all concurrent. Defendant was also sentenced to served 774 days prison that was remaining on his post release control from a Marion County felonious assault charge. This post release control time shall be served consecutive to the current 12 months prison.
